EVENTS
On November 5th there was the Wild Game Dinner over in Lake Placid. It was held deep in the heart of Lake Placid. I was able to dawn my cowboy hat as I helped the Butler family setup their work in the barn/booth at the dinner. Dorene and Robert Butler both auctioned off their paintings and I helped spread the word about Pig-mint and the artwork that was on display. The dinner had all kinds of food from fried turkey to barbecue pork to fried catfish and real wild hog. I cannot forget to mention the bonfire and live band. This was a great dinner with a great turnout. Everyone had a great time even Pig-mint who is going to be a few lucky children's holiday gift.
On November 28th Pig-mint made an appearance at the Coastal Anglers Magazine show at the Barn in Sanford. The setup was nice and the Butler family was showing strong. Dorene Butler, Sam Butler, and their father, the Highwayman, Robert Butler came out and setup their great paintings. The booth was filled with art and everyone enjoyed the display.
On November 14th I went and setup a booth down in Ft. Pierce at an event for the Highwaymen. A memorial was constructed at a park in on of Ft. Pierce's neighborhoods. The event had music and barbecue and some of the Highwaymen. It was a good event. The people were kind and enjoyed the presence of Pig-mint. The book was a nice treat to the blend of art shown at the store. Some people even decided to take Pig-mint with them by picking up a book. Dorene Butler also displayed her work along with her other family member's paintings.
On November 7th Pig-mint was setup at the Coastal Angler Magazine Boat Show. We setup a booth for Pig-mint featuring the artist Dorene Butler who was painting at the event. There was free food and drinks for the attendees and there was a pretty good turnout. Everyone was great and a few people picked up some books. Stay tuned to hear about my next event.
On October 17th and 18th 2009 I setup a booth for Pig-mint at the Orlando Buddy Walk and the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. On Saturday the 17th the Buddy walk was held at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando. The turnout was great. There were a bunch of people supporting the cause and walking around the lake. The smooth sounds of the live DJ played through the smell of barbecue from the Sonnys tent. The surprisingly cool air was in full effect as I handed out fliers and cards for Pig-mint next to the renowned artist Dorene Butler.
The Mad Hatter's Tea Party turned out great. The people were nice and cordial and the auction fun. People were dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland which added to the warm buzz of people supporting the B.U.S.S. cause. I was able to sneak in a pic with the Mad Hatter himself...
On October 3, 2009 I was pleased to be able to attend the Benefit Ride and Car Show hosted by Division of Child Protective Services. The event was great. The people were very nice and cordial and the cars were top notch. I was able to hand out some fliers, cards, and few very popular artist trading cards. Dorene Butler also came out to the event and painted. here are some pics of the event....

On April 28th I attended the Chalkfest down in Saftey Harbor. It was quite windy but I was able to complete a Pig-mint drawing in Calk on the sidewalk. Here are some pics from the event.
